The term Gua She is comprised of two Chinese words: Gua meaning to rub or scrape, and Sha, a type of stagnant energy that causes excess heat to build in the body. Together it means the act of rubbing the skin to remove any energy blockage and release heat. In it I utilize a hand carved stone to stimulate muscles and release tension, focusing on connecting points all over the face.

SUGARING HAIR REMOVAL FOR
FACE & BODY
Face and body sugaring has been present for centuries, first making its appearance in ancient Egypt. Its made its way through the ages and is still popular in many areas around the world today. There are many appeals to this form of hair removal; although its comparable to waxing in that it pulls hair from its follicle, the similarities stop there.

Sugaring is done by molding a stiff mound of sugar deep into the follicle, and grabbing the hair strand at its deepest point at the root. Its applied in the direction opposite hair growth, and removed in the direction of hair growth. This allows for little to no hair breakage.

Sugaring is often referred to as "the sensitive skin solution" for a couple different reasons; this being becuase it DOES NOT stick to skin cells. Sugar ONLY sticks to the hair itself, which means it doesn't hurt nearly as much as other comparable forms of hair removal. It also means that there is little to no chance of "lifting" of the skin or any irritation at all. In addition, sugaring is amazing for preventing in-grown hairs.

Typically you can expect results to last up to 4 weeks, and when you are ready for another appointment you'll notice that your hair has grown back more fine and less dense.
